What this site does not collect
There is no account system, no sign-up, and no payment processing anywhere on this site. Nothing you type into a calculator, distance, fuel economy, price, or any other field, is sent to a server or stored; every calculation runs in your own browser.
The one cookie this site sets
The home page and vehicle pages set a single cookie, geo-region, used only to prefill the fuel calculator with a representative local gas price. It is set by our hosting provider's edge network resolving an approximate region (a US state, or "national" as a fallback) from your connection at request time; we do not otherwise log or store your IP address ourselves. The cookie holds only a region name, such as "california" or "national", expires after 24 hours, and is cleared automatically outside the United States or wherever no matching region applies. You can clear or block it at any time in your browser without losing access to any calculator; you will just see a generic placeholder price instead of a region-matched one.
Analytics and advertising
This site does not currently run any third-party analytics or advertising trackers. If that changes in the future, this policy will be updated first, with a new effective date above.
Hosting and infrastructure logs
Like any website, standard request logs (such as IP address, browser, and request time) pass through our hosting provider and database provider as part of normal operation and security monitoring. We do not access or use these logs to identify individual visitors, and they are governed by those providers' own infrastructure practices rather than a profile we build or control.
Children's privacy
This site is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

This policy may be updated from time to time; the effective date above reflects the most recent change.
